Sarah Dan Jones is a lifelong advocate of building respectful communities through music. Born and educated in Georgia, she holds multiple college degrees in History, Women’s Studies and Music Performance. For twenty five years, Sarah Dan has worked in Unitarian Universalist congregations across the country as a collaborative partner in ministry, transforming lives through Cross Cultural engagement. She has facilitated growth workshops centered on creating communities that listen, share and learn from one another through a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) lens. As an inspired song leader, Sarah Dan has led worship music among the thousands and the few.

Sarah Dan served as Board member and President of the Association of Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries, and through those roles participated in numerous Denominational committees, including the Council on Cross Cultural Engagement and the Fair Compensation Task Force. She also served four years as member of the Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Association; the first Religious Professional of Music Ministry to do so.

As a songwriter, Sarah Dan has produced several CD’s and is the composer of “Meditation on Breathing”, a chant that has been used in homes, healing circles, vigils and protests across the globe.
